💡 How to Use 3-Part Cards

Print on cardstock and laminate for durability. Present cards using the Montessori three-period lesson. First period: Show the picture with label card and say the mushroom name while the child looks at the image. Repeat for 2-3 mushrooms. Second period: Place picture cards out and ask the child to point to specific mushrooms by name. Third period: Point to each picture card and ask the child to name the mushroom independently.

Once children know mushroom names, they can match all three card types independently as a control of error activity. The picture with label card serves as the answer key for checking their work.
