🧠 Teaching Tip from a Montessori Guide
Body vocabulary follows a natural progression: external parts first (hand, foot, nose), then joints (elbow, knee, wrist), finally internal organs (heart, lungs, brain). Always make it interactive—when you show the "elbow" card, bend your elbow and ask the child to bend theirs. "Where is your wrist? Can you wiggle it?" This kinesthetic connection helps cement vocabulary. For internal organs, use simple function explanations: "Your heart pumps blood through your body" or "Your lungs help you breathe." Avoid overwhelming detail—at this age, basic awareness and correct terminology matter most. Pair these cards with a simple anatomy puzzle or mirror work for full-body exploration.
